What’s in it for our drivers

I am pleased to be writing in this months tracker, about the launch of our next generation satellite based services. MCP enters the market bringing new thinking; creative ideas; and a stronger Return on Investment. (ROI)

With this in mind this month’s article focuses on “what’s in it for our drivers”?

The core functionality of MCP enhances a driver’s experience. Let me briefly outline.

1.                  Ease of use

a.   The MCP comes with a standard qwerty, colour and touch screen keyboard making the product easier to view and simpler to use.

2.                  Text to speech

a.   MCP is the first product in our market that combines text messaging with our new enhanced text to speech offering the driver a choice. This makes it extremely easy for the driver to understand messages as well as keeping both hands and eyes on the road ahead. Driver’s safety is paramount in this new enhancement.

3.                  On-board computer

a.       Because MCP has more on-board processing power, making your company’s documents and audio possible. Instruction and training programs can now be put on the keyboard for convenience allowing driver viewing for his/her own convenient use.

4.                  Navigational tools

a.       Shaw Tracking is excited to provide navigational tools for the driver via MCP. These tools will not only provide the driver with door to door instructions it will also allow him/her to remain in the safety of the cab. Drivers will be able to route themselves at their own conveniences.
